NIS2
Why NIS2 matters
The NIS2 Directive is the EU’s updated framework for ensuring a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union. Effective from January 16, 2023, and mandatory by October 17, 2024, NIS2 aims to improve the security and resilience of essential and important entities against cyber threats. Early compliance ensures your organisation is well-prepared to handle cyber incidents and meets regulatory standards.

Who Must Comply with NIS2?
NIS2 applies to “essential” and “important” entities across sectors including:
- Energy
- Transportation
- Banking and financial market infrastructure
- Healthcare
- Drinking water and digital infrastructure
- Public administration
- Postal and courier services
- Food production
- Digital providers such as data centers, cloud providers, and managed service providers
Compliance thresholds (for most sectors):
